What we collect

When you submit a quote request we collect the name, phone number, event date, guest count and message you type into the form, along with the listing you were viewing. We do not ask for your address, national identity number, or payment details, and you should not send them to us.

If you create an account we store your email address and your name, if you give it or sign in with Google. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and we never see it.

The preferences you set on the welcome screen (service, budget feel, guest count, hall types) and your shortlists are saved in your own browser. They are not sent to us.

We also collect basic technical information that every website receives, such as your browser type and the pages you visited, and we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used.

Why we collect it

Your quote request exists for one purpose: to pass your enquiry to the vendor you selected so they can reply to you. We may contact you about that specific enquiry. We do not sell your details, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.

Who we share it with

The vendor you enquired about receives your name, phone number, event date, guest count and message. Nobody else does, except the service providers who run the site for us: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database and sign-in), Cloudflare (network) and Google (Analytics, and sign-in if you choose Google).

How long we keep it

Quote requests are kept for 24 months so we can resolve disputes and understand which vendors respond. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Vendor listings

Listings on BYAH are compiled from publicly available sources, including Google Maps business profiles and vendors' own public social media pages. Ratings and reviews shown are attributed to their original source. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent for the businesses listed unless a listing says so.

If you own a business listed here and want the listing corrected or removed, email hello@byah.pk and we will action it within 7 days.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@byah.pk from the number or address you contacted us with.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to tell one visit from the next. Google processes that data under its own privacy policy. You can block it with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or your browser's cookie settings.

When you sign in, our authentication provider sets cookies that keep you signed in. Local browser storage remembers your theme, shortlists and welcome-screen preferences on your device.
